الإزاحة أو تهجير حمولة السفينة هي وزنها على أساس كمية الماء التي يزيحه جسمها في الأحمال متفاوتة. يتم قياسه بطريقة غير مباشرة باستخدام مبدأ أرخميدس من خلال حساب حجم المياه التي تزيحها السفينة أولاً ثم تحويل تلك القيمة إلى وزن النزح. تقليديا، تم استخدام قواعد القياس المختلفة، وإعطاء تدابير مختلفة في الأطنان الطويلة. [1] واليوم، يتم استخدام الأطنان المترية.
يختلف إزاحة السفينة حسب درجة حمولة السفينة، من وزنها الفارغ حسب التصميم (المعروف باسم "الإزاحة الخفيفة للحمولة" [2] ) إلى أقصى حمولة لها. الإزاحة الخفيفة للحمولة هي وزن بدن السفينة وآلاتها ومعداتها وقطع غيارها. وغالبا ما يمثل ذلك الأساس الذي يتم بناء عليه شراء السفينة بغرض التخريد. وتعتبر الحمولة الساكنة للسفينة هي الفرق بين الإزاحة الكاملة والإزاحة الخفيفة.
يجب عدم الخلط بين إزاحة السفينة وقياسات الحجم أو السعة المستخدمة عادة للسفن التجارية، مثل الحمولة الصافية أو الحمولة الإجمالية أو الحمولة النافعة.
